Those I steal are here

Some guys have all the luck, sang Mr Rod Stewart in some older times. Some guys don’t even know it, though. They’re lucky, they entered History (with that big ‘H’) and still –ignorant they are.
Sébastien Bournier is amongst them. That dude is part of History for being the first drummer who ever recorded a complete song with Awaken, it was some years ago and he’ll be part of the next big thing to be released in a few weeks.
A few weeks? So should I mention Mr Bournier now? Yep. Prior to what you all expect, he just released his own 5th album, I mean his band’s 5th. Band is Sousbock. Ah, now you remember.
The new Sousbock is romantically titled “Un écho dans le brouillard”, which roughly means “An echo in the mist”.
Don’t ask yours truly if he was a guest this time. Cause he is. It’s the track number what I forgot but it’s called “Phobie”. Come one, it's here you folks: www.sousbock-fr.com
The album also features talents that I regularly steal for my own noise, guys like NicoZark and the incredible Trust No One.

By the way, the latter had –almost silently- released two EP’s. “Sick” and “Waster”. And it’s here.

Wanted!

No, Awaken is not looking for a keyboardist. But someone else does. It's here. Get the gig, pal.

When it comes on the surface of scrap...

... you suddenly get that opportunity, yep: get your own copy of 1993 rare demo tape "Phase II: Scrappy". From Awaken (you know).

It's on eBay only and you gotta be quick. Not a second time!

Dear friends, fans, enemies and passing smiles,

After a lovely and surprisingly creative Summer, here comes September and its stunning falling leaves perfumes.

It’s time to introduce you the cute Doraemon Shop, from my friend Đức, where the blue cat will help you to find discounted clothes and more various items in a near future.

Also, have you read the new reviews on the Awaken MP3 Discography? Some like, some hate, you’ll be judges.

Important: there’s a new contact address for yours truly the old Cat in our appropriate section;

And let’s not forget some deep or not deep thoughts on my humble blog.

So, are you prepared for the most surprising to come? If yes, see you soon. If no, you wouldn’t been here reading.

Nottingigauram

Becky is a British student from Nottingham, hungry for new discoveries. Not only she studies
Popular Music with Music Technology at the University of Derby, but also she's a vocalist, pianist and bassist, learning guitar. Moreover, she writes reviews on her blog. And guess what EP has recently been analysed by her music-lover ears? You name it: Yanagigaura.

9 more songs, 9 more lives?

Dear magnetic friends, enemies and passing smiles,

Lazy days for you, lazy days for Awaken. Really? I don’t know much about your secret life, but there’s nothing short of creative in the Awa-Universe this very time.

The new Snowcat album is still planned for 2012 and will be the first LP since… a long time, 2008’s “This Mouth” being still labeled as EP, clocking just 28 minutes –bonus track included.

The 9 songs all have their demo version, which hardly happened in the past, and a bunch of the baddest musicians are already part of the project. Some you know, some you will discover.

There is again a strong collaboration with It’s Oh! Music, the indies label from Miyakonojô-city in Japan. By the way, they just signed our friends the Narcotic Daffodils, that you know for having enjoyed Irène et Hakim singing and playing on Awaken’s “How Many ‘L’ Were In Your Name?”.

The 9 new songs are now listed in our Awalphabet. Will you be smart enough to find them?

Have a great month of July.
