Old bandits never die.

Old bandits never die. Toto, an early influence of Awaken, rocked Brussels on June 21st, 2011. Joe Williams and Steve Porcaro being back, you got the band almost as it was in 1988.

A pure delight. Guess what? They played a superb version of “Human Nature”, Michael Jackson’s track composed by Steve Porcaro. A moment of pure magic.

What to listen in those hot spring days...

While the Old Cat is happily recording his new LP -a killer en devenir-, Awaken's collaborators and / or (nevertheless) friends fill the gap by being rather prolific these days:

Haraa: Irrlicht Tape II

Squonk66: Pressure Increases

Franck Carducci: Oddity

Irène & Hakim in The Narcotic Daffodils's first album

Trust No One: Hazard

Haraa remixes Awaken

Dear friends, enemies and passing smiles,

a few weeks ago, I had the pleasant surprise to receive a remix from one of my pieces of music, "Chase Around Ôita Eki", by a lad called Haraa. Actually, it was more than just a remix, since the original tapes having been destroyed, no one can just remix them without a serious instrumental input from them.
We then decided to do another one so we could release it as a bootleg single. We recorded a cosmic take of another of my favorite, "Beppu Nights".

I had the opportunity to listen to Haraa's own music and will inform you when it is released, since it's worth giving it a listen. Haraa is someone who dares, which is kinda missing these days. He has the Spirit, to say the least.

Ah by the way, you never know if by clicking on the image or just here, the bootleg will be yours.

Take care,
G.S.

And the volume 3?

Dear friends, fans, passing smiles and devoted enemies,

You liked the first two volumes of the S-Natural series of bootlegs? (Reminder: it is the raw testimony of acoustic piano – voice live-in-studio leaks.)

Good news for you: the last volume is now available on Diagonales. Download it while it’s still available.

And you know what? S-Natural is good for relaxation. Scientifically proven.

You bet?
